The long awaited start

Today is the third day of the year, and I'm already late by 2 days to carry through my resolution (apparently, it could easily be forgiven as I was busy enjoying the past two days @ Vellore with two of my close buddies). Well, I had rounded up on two resolutions on the last day of 2010. It's nothing new or special (I mean taking resolutions here, and not the resolutions itself) as I did the same on every other years that passed by (after I came to know about resolutions). But these two resolutions - one, to keep blogging though I knew there will be no one to read and comment on it and two, to keep reading for at least an hour everyday - are rather special and significant to me as I feel this year is going to be a make or break for me.

I, personally, feel this year is going to play a crucial role in my passions, my dreams as in my life. Though 2010 was good, memorable and fun-filled, in a schema of personal front - it was equally a lamentable year that I would want to forget for few surreptitious reasons. Henceforth, I should make amends in 2011. I want to make this year as the one that I have never had, of course in a positive way. Let me see where the world takes me, or where I take the world.

Getting back to the resolutions -

(i) Keep blogging - as I mentioned earlier, I know I could hardly get people following this blog, let alone comment on it. After all, this is more of a personal thing than being social. Who in this world cares about the personal scribbling of some preposterous guy when they find it hard to get time to care about themselves? So I too don't care about it either. So the bottom line of this resolution is - "Let your heart speak, and thereof, let your mind hear it"

(ii) Keep reading - Just read, read and read. It will make me lay a path in which others, sooner or later, will travel. Read to make my mind think, act and more importantly WORK in a positive way. Nothing in this world makes anyone stupendous as much as reading does. So the bottom line of this resolution is - "Read - whatever you feel worthy, or make whatever you read - worthy."

Well, so by tying this I'm on the mission of carrying out my first resolution. On a positive note, I had already started executing my second with "tuesdays with morrie" - a book gifted to me on my last b'day by my friend. Hope many more will be added in this list...

In a jiffy, a commendable start to 2011. All I should do, going forward, is to carry on the momentum. I hope I will.

bye,
Suresh R
